Ian Timms
Partner, Tax
Ian is a Chartered Tax Advisor and Chartered Accountant and has considerable experience in the tax and accountancy world. He specialises in helping individuals, businesses and corporates with tax planning and tax mitigation strategies. He works across a large number of industries including life sciences, industrial and construction, farming, land development, property, universities and colleges, charities, media, retail (online and physical) and hospitality.
Lawrence Price
Corporate Finance Advisor - Rockworth
Rockworth’s founder and Managing Director, Lawrence has experience of more than 100 transactions across numerous different industries.
Lawrence has over 20 years’ lead advisory corporate finance experience working with privately owned companies. His work has included sales, acquisitions, MBO/MBI and fund-raising, with completed transactions ranging from £1m to £100m in value.
With experience of over 100 transactions, Lawrence was lead advisor on the sale of Morgan Motor Company Limited to Investindustrial, Rubicon Drinks to AG Barr, Kittiwake Developments to Parker Hannifin Inc and Core Design to Omnicom Inc.
Prior to founding Rockworth Management Partners, Lawrence headed up the Thames Valley office of a London-based corporate finance firm, worked in TMT corporate finance with Longacre Partners, now part of Jefferies, and was Operations Business Manager for the British American Racing Formula One team.
Lawrence sits on the financial services panel of Said Business School Oxford, and is non-executive director to two private businesses.

Ellen Moran
Corporate Partner - Knights
Ellen is a Partner in the Corporate team at Knights and has been a corporate lawyer for 16 years.
She advises on corporate matters, including structuring options, governance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, investment, company restructuring, group reorganisation, company share sales or buyback arrangements, and business asset disposals.
Her clients include entrepreneurs, owner-managed companies, high growth and scale up businesses, investors and large corporate businesses.
Recent examples of how Ellen has supported clients include:
· Acting on the sale of shares in an IT service provider to a buyer with a buy and build strategy including complex equity arrangements post completion;
· Working with the client and their other advisors on the sale of shares in a software platform to a US buyer;
· As a significant step towards the sellers’ retirement, completing a sale of shares in an online service provider in very tight timescales involving expertise from the across the firm including technical employment advice;
· Working with a group of companies and their Scottish lawyers in relation to a sale of shares, properties and other assets in an agricultural business;
· Supporting the in-house legal team of a Portuguese investment company on the English legal considerations arising from investments in tech companies.
