Team - Tanveer Mahtab-Ahmed

Tanveer brings a people-first mindset shaped by a successful career in professional services leadership. Born and raised in Newcastle, she trained in the North East before moving south and is a qualified accountant and Fellow of the ACCA. Her background combines commercial insight with a strong belief in the importance of culture, development and inclusive leadership.

Before joining Gravita, Tanveer was an Associate Partner at a Top 20 firm and previously UK Head of Accounting and Tax at a global organisation, experience that now informs her contribution to Gravita’s people strategy and leadership culture.

Throughout her career, Tanveer has led high-performing teams and built trusted relationships across the UK and internationally. She has worked with owner-managed businesses, large corporates and global organisations, gaining deep insight into how strong people strategies underpin sustainable growth and operational success.

Tanveer believes that smart systems, clear processes and genuine collaboration are key to creating environments where people thrive. Her hands-on, supportive approach focuses on clarity, capability and connection, helping teams feel engaged, empowered and aligned with business goals.

Outside of work, Tanveer co-founded 5 Diamonds Mentorship, a not-for-profit organisation supporting students from diverse backgrounds into careers in accountancy and finance. This reflects her commitment to developing talent and widening opportunity.
